Color is often the first place a viewer makes an emotional connection with a work of art. For painters, it is the most complex of all the art elements.

In this one-day workshop, we will take a hands on approach to demystifying the challenges of color mixing color through a series of painting exercises. Following a set of prompts, we will explore color’s inherent qualities of transparency/opacity, temperature (cool/warm) and chroma (bright/muted ). The session is geared for beginners or working artists who want a refresher.

Materials fee of $50 paid to instructor. I provide all paint, brushes paper and material for the class. NOTE: bring  a beverage and snack to stay nourished.
