I am so pleased to be part of this DAAP Made 2023 exhibition which opened this week. The piece features a melding of images, the destroyed staircase at the Mariupol Theater in Ukraine, with a chandelier of light. The pieces speaks to my empathy for the people of Ukraine and the fragile state of the human condition. I offer the light of hope for a better future.
Napa Economic Development Forum with 5 artists →
I was happy to part of a panel of local artists who presented at this forum. Attended by city policy makers and members of the public, artists told their histories of living and working in Napa Valley and the existential crisis they face on a daily basis. I continue to advocate for affordable studio space, exhibition space and a community place to meet for artists. Press Democrat Article
Artists' Trellis Project
Recently, I received a Community Fund Grant from Arts Council Napa Valley for my Artists’ Trellis project. The project brings together civic and community leaders with artists for a session of printmaking in my Napa studio. The goal is to create awareness for the Napa artistic community and the need for exhibition and affordable studio space.
The project is in now well underway and going great!
